About NAPE DC1
Welcome to the web site of the District of Columbia Chapter (#1) of the National Association of Power Engineers. In addition to information about our Chapter, this site also provides links to the National Association of Power Engineers Education Foundation (NAPEEF) and its widely recognized training curriculum. Thanks for visiting.
The objectives of the association are the advancement of the power engineer in the field of engineering; the promotion of civic consciousness by means of education; legislation and public relations for the protection of life and property; and furtherance of high ethical standards and the creation of a social and fraternal interest among its members.
The President's Letter and Meeting Minutes menus describe what is going on in the Chapter, with Board Members' names and contact information. This page is from The Bulletin, a quarterly publication provided to members of NAPE. The Bulletin also includes technical articles and announcements of events and seminars at Chapter Meetings, which are held on the first Wednesday of every month at Falls Church, VA.
The Join Now page is about membership in NAPE, with a link to a Membership Form. Memberships may be individual, associate, or corporate. The benefits of each category are described on the Join Now page. Additional information about membership may be obtained from the staff at the administrative office in Falls Church, VA.
The Training page is a link to the Education Foundation's web site, containing the latest information about courses offered in the Building Engineer Services Training (BEST) Program. NAPE members receive a substantial tuition discount for NAPEEF courses. Two semesters of courses are offered yearly, beginning in February and September. There are also preparatory seminars for CFC and NIULPE tests, and NAPEEF is a test site for the Environmental Protection Agency (CFC), the National Institute of Uniform Licensing of Power Engineers (NIULPE), and North American Technical Excellence (NATE).
NAPE is a partner with many organizations in related industries. We do not provide the names of our members or students for privacy reasons, but the administrative staff can help you to contact anyone associated with our organization.
