Training for members of DC 1 and non-members alike is performed by the National Association of Power Engineers Educational Foundation (NEPEEF). Founded in 1990, NAPEEF is a widely recognized educational and training entity focused on the operations and maintenance of commercial building properties. Headquartered in Falls Church, Virginia, classes and training are offered at 7 convenient locations throughout the greater metropolitan Washington, DC and Baltimore, Maryland area.
The NAPEEF BEST (Building Engineers Services Training) Program encompasses a training and educational curriculum that is offered in multiple sessions yearly, with class durations ranging from 5- to 20-weeks. Most classes meet one night weekly for the terms, allowing students to enhance their education while maintaining their employment status.
The BEST Program offers a wide range of educational and career enhancement opportunities. All of the offered training and classes are taught by real-world professionals in the building operations and maintenance field, offering practical application guidance in specific fields of expertise.
